hi all..
just managed to compile my ip_wccp.o module for
kernel-2.6.5..
loading it with modprobe returned no errors, and it
shows up when i do 'lsmod':
ip_wccp 1600 0
however, when i configure squid and my router for
wccp, i get nothing... cache.log says squid is
accepting wccp connections on port 2048:
2004/07/06 13:56:32| Accepting WCCP messages on port
2048, FD 17.
looking at my router, it doesn't see any cache
engines..:
Global WCCP information:
Router information:
Router Identifier: x.x.x.x
Protocol Version: 1.0
Service Identifier: web-cache
Number of Cache Engines: 0
Number of routers: 1
Total Packets Redirected: 0
Redirect access-list:
cache-access
Total Packets Denied Redirect: 0
Total Packets Unassigned: 0
Group access-list: -none-
Total Messages Denied to Group: 0
Total Authentication failures: 0
this is my wccp configuration in squid.conf ...
wccp_router x.x.x.x
wccp_version 3
wccp_incoming_address 0.0.0.0
wccp_outgoing_address 255.255.255.255
i've tried juggling the configuration around on the
router, but still get nothing..
there are, however, interesting messages from my dmesg
console:
kernel: ip_wccp: no version for "struct_module" found:
kernel tainted
kernel: ip_wccp: no version magic, tainting kernel
kernel: ip_wccp: unsupported module, tainting kernel
i might add that compiling and integrating the kernel
yielded no errors..
all help appreciated...
Mark.
