[SQU] SQUID with a M$ Parent...?

Does anyone here have any experience in setting up a squid cache with a M$
parent - specifically - how does one configure CARP with the M$ parent - and
if this is even possible. The squid cache in question is not able to do any
direct HTTP fetches - and is configured with never_direct to not ever
attempt to do so.
