I am using WCCPv1.
AFAIK, it should be OK if you use IOS version higher than 12.0.(5). For me,
compiling the WCCP module is the most difficult section.
Fortunately, Henrik (and others) wrote a very nice utility to have ip_wccp.o
that so far I always compile it manually.
