Ok. Stupid me assumed you were running transparent proxying and not a
correct proxy setup.
As you are thankfully using a correct proxy setup then cache division
needs to be done within Squid.
See earlier response regarding the possible peering methods.
Implementing CARP inter-array routing would also be beneficial for such
situation and eleminates the need of peering interaction. Some small
amount of coding required however as only inter-array CARP peering has
been implemented, but coding or to have coded the features one needs is
one of the corner stones of what open source is about so it is just a
matter of getting it done.
