Keep on digging. it is something that squid does not like in conjunction
with its dns routines... check the same when you su as the squid user...
also will be a good idea to activate the debug routines and see what the
cache does on startup... see the setup guide and the FAQ on how to set up
debug.

Hostname set on my server and DNS also configured.
I did nslookup and able resolve all the domains.

You need to set up the host name of your computer.... more ove this
error appears when there is no DNS service set up on your machine/no dns
servers defined in your /etc files... check the redhat control panel and
manual as to how to set up/define dns servers in your system.

I'm running Squid on Redhat Linux 9.0.
After compiling my squid when I run squid I receive this error message.
I also add visible_hostname in squid.conf but still the same message.
