Hi all,
ftp "put" doesn't seem to work with Squid/2.4.STABLE7; but the
FAQ says it should work in version 2.
http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/FAQ/FAQ-12.html#ss12.5
I've tried with IE and netscape:
IE gives this message:
The folder "ftp:..................................................." is
read-only because the proxy server is not set up to
allow full access.
To move, paste, rename, or delete files, you must use a
different proxy. For information on changing your
proxy, contact your administrator.
Netscape: It also doesn't work with Netscape 7. It shows the ftp
directories and allows retrieval of files, but upload is not
available - the "upload" menu item doesn't appear under the
File mean
Here's the possible causes I can think of:
(1). Is this a config problem (as IE suggests)?
I couldn't see anything relevant in the config guide, but
perhaps some apparently unrelated setting is causing the
problem?
(2). Is this a bug in Squid?
(3). Is this a bug in the ftp clients (and can using some
other client solve it)?
Thanks for any help or pointers,
Brendan Macmillan
