[squid-users] squid problem on redhat 7.1

Hi..

I am using redhat 7.1 and squid-2.3.STABLE4-10.. Squid is working fine as
transparenet proxy.. But experiencing following problem..

--> Squid server responce decreases over period of time.. come back to
normal sfter restart..(Squid server is running linux on PIII / 128MB and 4
GB of cache configured in squid..so far used 800 MB

--> web pages at client end is being open at one short.. not frame y
frame.. say www.msn.com will come just at one short.. and it takes time if
you stop browser you get full page immidiately.. (This is pain ful as
first reaction from clients is slow performance)..

--> I did attempted upgrading squid to squid-2.4.STABLE3-1 available on
redhat site but.. browsing stops immidia;y with error "unable tp lookup IP
address of hostname <site name>

Any help in this is appreciated..
