[squid-users] problem with DNS with SQUID

hi all
iam using SQUID with wccp with cisco router
its running fine

but i have one precular problem is
when th DNS server goes down
my hole traffic hangs
i have other DNS Server running in my network
but its take long time to take action

once i reboot the DNS Server , then the traffic back to normal
how do i going to solve this problem
