I've tried using the -D param to disable dns tests but to no avail. Also, my acls are kept as the default (came distributed with Squid) and there's no reference to any dns lookups.
As you know.. a corporate firewall often does not supply you with proper DNS lookups capabilities and all in/out traffic are blocked. Users are supplied with only web access thru an intranet firewall and therefore have virtually *ZERO* contact with the outside world.
erm.. well.. I tried accessing www.yahoo.com and it returned a 'No Address Record' error indicating that my above claim was correct.. I used to work with WinNT and the web proxies they have often have no problem with access the web when I specify a parent proxy.
so.. any suggestions?.. thx!
cheers,
Solaris
