You need to do two things:
a) start squid with the disable-dns-tests parameter. (do squid --help to find it). (It may even be in the config file...)
b) make sure NONE of your acl rules need forward or backward DNS lookups. As to what ones do, I cannot remember of the top of my
head... have a look in acl.c
