I run Squid 2.2Stable4 on RH Linux 6.0. It has been running for several
months with no problems. Today I tried accessing:
http://www.nwfusion.com/columnists/2000/0306helpdesk.html and I got a
squid error at top of page:
The requested URL could not be retrieved
While trying to retrieve the URL:
http://ad.doubleclick.net/adl/idg.nwfusion.com/;loc=rm;ord= 8141628
The following error was encountered:
Invalid URL
Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:
Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be `http://'' or
similar)
Missing hostname
Illegal double-escape in the URL-Path
Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed
Does this error occur without Proxy use? what can I do? thanks.
