cache directory disk selection

        Dear Friends,

        I am using squid 2.3S1 on a Sparc Server 1000E with 256MB
RAM. I want to increase the size of the cache (currently at
9GB). I have 3*2.1GB, 2*4.2GB & 2*9GB disks. If I want to add
the three 2.1GB disks and one of the 4.2GB disk, should I
concatenate (via the Solaris MetaDeta tool) the three 2.1GB
disks into one metadata disk and then have three cache_dir
statements or is it better to have a cache_dir statement per
disk (in other words will there be a penalty of concatenating
the disks via the metadata tool)? Also when I add the
cache_dir statements and do a squid -z will I lose the cached
documents in my original 9GB disk.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Ciao Ciao
