To summarise what fixed the problem, it turned out to be something which may
cause people some headaches.
All of my configs were fine, it actually came down the the operating system
I was running.
Since I was playing with squid+snmp+mrtg on my dev box, it was FreeBSD
5.0-CURRENT which has seemed to break squid's SNMP.
So yeah, just run the stable version of freebsd, and all is good.
