Hi Amos,   As refer to http://bugs.squid-cache.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3440%a0, how to change StoreEntry::deferProducer not to be const? I'd tried just remove "const" word in the line, it shows: store.cc:372: error: prototype for `void StoreEntry::deferProducer(RefCount<AsyncCall>&)' does not match any in class `StoreEntry' Store.h:194: error: candidate is: void StoreEntry::deferProducer(const RefCount<AsyncCall>&) *** Error code 1 cheers, kz ----- Original Message ----- From: Amos Jeffries <squid3@treenet.co.nz> To: "squid-users@squid-cache.org" <squid-users@squid-cache.org> Cc: Sent: Tuesday, December 6, 2011 6:38 PM Subject: Re: [squid-users] Problem compiling Squid 3.1.18 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - store.cc FYI this is now being tracked as http://bugs.squid-cache.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3440 On 6/12/2011 4:44 p.m., Paul Freeman wrote: > Amos, > I was just having a bit of a play and found that in line 376, if *producer is changed to producer the compile problem goes away. > > This may make no sense at all given my lack of C++ knowledge and the whole pointer thing but I did notice in another debug statement that producer was used. > > This is probably not the solution but I thought I would mention it anyway. > > Regards > > Paul Thanks for that. From the bug report it looks like removing the * would work. Although that would debug print just the ID of the pointer object rather than its contents AFAIK. Testing now. Amos
