[squid-users] Empty PID file

Hi,

Running 3.1.12.1 on Linux..

I have recently ran into situations where squid appears to be creating
an empty PID file. I have not yet determined exactly how to reproduce
the problem and it seems to occur rather randomly.

When this happens, squid is running and all seems ok, but things like
'squid -k check' fail because they cannot find the PID.

Again, the file _is_ created, but it is empty.

Has anyone seen this before. Any idea what could be causing this?
