An eCAP adapter to filter messages using the popular ClamAV library
is now available: http://www.e-cap.org/Downloads
ClamAV API forces the adapter to accumulate content in files, one file
per message, but using memory-based file system for the staging
directory may help speed things up. See README file for some basic
tuning options.
When a virus or other blocked content is detected, the adapter sets the
X-Virus-ID meta-header, which you can log to access.log using the
%adapt::<last_h logformat code.
You will need Squid v3.2.0.6 or newer to use the adapter.

P.S. Individual eCAP adapters are not supported by the Squid Project.
