[squid-users] clientParseRequestMethod: Unsupported method in request '×^?^L<92>ª¤Ô'

I recently build two proxy servers with squid3.0
(3.0.STABLE8-3+lenny3) replacing old ones which used version 2.5.

We are experiencing a few problems and would appreciate some enlightenment
concerning these issues:

1. Users complaining that sometimes incomplete files are received when
they download and interruptions when they watch streaming contents.

2. From time to time the store gets corrupted and then squid keep on
rebuilding the cache and resetting itself.

3. Whether this is related, I don't know but I have seen messages on
the internet linking the reset of the cache and this type of error:

clientParseRequestMethod: Unsupported method in request '^»eí¹®m*¬hoÇ'ÒøÊÖ'

4. I see also the following in the logs which I do not understand and
   feel a bit uncomfortable about:

access.log:1266393906.689 0 127.0.0.1 TCP_MISS/200 905 GET cache_object://localhost/server_list - NONE/- text/plain
access.log:1266393910.402 0 127.0.0.1 TCP_MISS/200 960 GET cache_object://localhost/storedir - NONE/- text/plain
access.log:1266393919.070 0 127.0.0.1 TCP_MISS/200 905 GET cache_object://localhost/server_list - NONE/- text/plain

cache.log:2010/02/17 10:05:19| CACHEMGR: <unknown>@127.0.0.1 requesting 'server_list'
cache.log:2010/02/17 10:05:19| CACHEMGR: <unknown>@127.0.0.1 requesting 'counters'
cache.log:2010/02/17 10:05:19| CACHEMGR: <unknown>@127.0.0.1 requesting 'counters'

Regards
Johann

"Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and
afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of
our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are
      healed." Isaiah 53:4,5
