Ouch. I'm cc'ing this to squid-dev as this is an issue that needs to be
brought up there.

What Operating System are you using?
Is it a package build or self-built?
What configure options? (output of squid -v)
What does cache_log contains with debug_options ALL,9?
Are you able to locate a core-dump from any of the crashes and pull a
stack trace out of it?

I'm not able to follow up on this myself, but with the info above one of
the other developers should be able to assist you.

There are serious security advisories out on all earlier releases.
