 Exactly. Setting up a donation page that can be linked to functionality or
bugs, issues etc if they meet a certain criteria, would enable people to
donate/spend (hopefully extra) on those things important to them. Instead of
just donating and hoping what "they want" also gets addressed.

 Maybe make it so that some percentage donated to some "issue/cause" is
automaticly donated to squid-cache et al. To make sure too much money doesn't
go only to specific issues.

 Might be easier than changing human nature. :)
