Get yourself a Squid-2.6 SRPM and rebuild that one.. The current one
from Fedora is a good start.
install the Squid SRPM.
rpm -i squid-2.6.....src.rpm
edit /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/squid.spec
to include the features you need. Don't forget to change the package
name or at least revision to reflect your modifications (package name
recommended, to make sure automatic upgrades don't touch the package).
Rebuild the RPM by running
rpmbuild -ba /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/squid.spec
then install the freshly build binary rpm.
