[squid-users] High load server

Squid Cache: Version 2.5.STABLE12

[root@proxy logs]# uptime
 12:58:48 up 205 days, 15:18, 1 user, load average: 1.97, 2.10, 1.79

There is nothing strange in cache.log or messages only the server is
with a high load and the
navigation is slowly these days (there was no change the last days wich
could be affect to squid)

The statistics traffic navigation and client http requests show a known
patron in a normal way.

Which could be the problem?
