Just wondering if you ever got anywhere with this. I am interested in using
it in the same scenario.

Hi,
i've been playing with Squid and ICAP the fast few days in order to realize
a "split screen" setup
What i'm trying to achieve is when users log into a hotspot they only can
use port 80 and that port is routed tranparently through a Squid proxy. In
the Squid proxy the response of every requested website has to be merged
into a new "two frame" website. At the top frame i can insert the ads and in
the bottom frame the original url is shown.
ICAP tries to insert a banner/ad in the same website which often doesn't
work. A two frame (split screen) solution always preserves the original
content of the requested website.
The question actually is; is there a script written for Squid that handles
every request and serves the client with a new website in which 2 frames are
active. (one for ad insertion the other for showing the requested website
(eg google))
Best regards,
