The CPU doesn't really play all that much of a role in the performance of
Squid. (Obviously faster CPUs are nice, but really not important with
squid)
Disk I/O and Memory are much more important than the speed of the cpu.
Disk size and memory size are contingent on each other.
Unfortunately, it's tough to give any suggestions without knowing any
specifics about your environment.
