Error 11001 means 'host unknown'. So, did you configure
'dns_nameservers' right? And, as of my knlowdge outlook/eudora
wouldn't route their POP3 acticity through proxy. So, look closer
to configuration of the clients.

Can you ping it? Maybe, there is a problem with your name
server(s).
