Henrik,
We sent Microsoft some packet traces showing them the problem, and here's
their response. We're not running sp4 yet but in case anyone else is, they
may want to try this fix to the SSL page load problem. I'll pass on any new
information on this problem.

Thank you for the traces. I had our escalation team look over the added traces
and they think they have seen this before.
Please try the following and let me know the results.
Be sure the clients are on windows 2000sp4
Check for the following registry value AND ADD If it is not in place
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\
QFEInstalled
Dword =1
Then install ms05-14 from
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms05-014.mspx
Once this has been done, you will want to add the following reg setting.
Please try both 0 and 1 for dword value.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
ReleaseSocketDuringAuth
DWORD 0x0 or 0x1.
