You do not have to run Squid on the same machine, it can be on Solaris, Linux, or 2K.

That link does not work for me. Is the whole link there? Also you do not have to run websense on the linux box right? I just want to redirect trafic to the websense server that is running on a W2k box.

You need to install the websense plug-in for squid in every proxy server that you want to communicate with websense.
To install this plug-in, you need to run the websense setup program for linux on the server proxy, then choose "iegrated" as setup type...
