Yes.

The server is sufficient. eDirectory has a LDAP interface and this is what
squid_ldap_auth uses.

The squid_ldap_auth manual tries to explain most of what is involved, but
assumes you know how your directory presents itself via LDAP. (what
attribute the login name is stored in, the base DN of your directory and
some other basic LDAP details is required to configure squid_ldap_auth).

In this implementation however, when the user opens the browser, they will
be prompted with a login box, no? Is there a way to make this happen behind
the scenes, as with NTLM (using LDAP and eDirectory)?
