 I believe it's a problem at the remote site : 'wget' launched
 from my squid box gives :

--12:06:43-- http://www.vodafone.pt:80/
  (try: 4) => `index.html.4'
Connecting to www.vodafone.pt:80... connected!
HTTP request sent, awaiting response...
Read error (Connection timed out) in headers.
Retrying.

--12:21:43-- http://www.vodafone.pt:80/
  (try: 5) => `index.html.4'
Connecting to www.vodafone.pt:80... connected!
HTTP request sent, awaiting response...
Read error (Connection timed out) in headers.
Retrying.

 And this goes one forever. (I can use wget perfectly for other websites)
