RE: [squid-users] Your cache is running out of filedescriptors

Add these lines to your /etc/squid/squid.conf file and restart squid.

half_closed_clients off
server_persistent_connections off
client_persistent_connections off

That should address your problem. I am running 2.4STABLE6.
