I'm using squid latest 2.4 stable tarball.
Naturally, for total ADS integration I'm using samba 3.
I've three questions:
1) to have a wbinfo_group.pl working I must use the script posted here:
http://itmanagers.net/postt10.html and not the squid bringed one.
2) I've noticed that I must use ntlm_auth helper to make possible
wbinfo_group to authenticate. It's strange... wbinfo_group is a basic auth,
ntlm_auth is NTLM one.
If I don't declare and, of course, start ntlm_auth, I always receive
TCP_DENIED with NONE/- in the log in the user compound. If I start ntlm_auth
and wbinfo_group I can see DOMAIN\USer in log, and the browser (IE)
navigate.
Naturally I've tested that is wbinfo_group.pl that authenticates the user.
ACL are declared for him, not for ntlm_auth.
how is possible this ?
3) Naturally I use wbinfo_group to authenticate groups of users instead of
single users. I've noticed that when I change the domain group membership
the helper continues to authenticate the user!
Example, User-1 belong to "InterneUser" group. All works. I DELETE the
user membership in the group, and I can see wbinfo_group send OK to squid
yet.
Naturally, is a winbindd problem... not an helper one... how to solve
this ?
Henrik if I'm not a visionary you've told to restart winbindd once a
while ?
I paste in calce salient parts of my squid.conf
Thanks in advance,
Federico
