OK I will go over the mod_ssl directions again, and test it out again.
I was able to get ssl to work before using test certs, and here is my
output...
/usr/local/squid/sbin/squid -v
Squid Cache: Version 2.5.STABLE3
configure options: --prefix=/usr/local/squid --enable-ssl
also used the ssl patch on the source then compiled.
