You defenitely want to correct these two, or else you Squid will leak
memory.
You will most likely have higher success applying the patch to a later
Squid-2.5 version (i.e. the current squid-2.5 snapshot releases).

You also need to tell the access_log directive which log format to use
for the log file. If not it will default to the old format..
access_log /usr/local/squid/var/logs/access.log common
