[squid-users] Announce: squid-3.0PRE3 (release candidate)

I'm happy to announce the availability of squid-3.0 PRE3.

You can get it here: http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v3/3.0/

We have a wealth of patchs - a not-quite-complete list follows. The
http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v3/3.0/bugs/ bugs page has more
detail on each of these.

We have -no- remaining open bugs blocking the release
(http://www.squid-cache.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=524 is the
release--readiness-bug) and
(http://www.squid-cache.org/bugs/showdependencytree.cgi?id=524&hide_resolved=1) shows the open blocking bugs.

So, this build can be considered a release-candidate.

As a reminder - we will release squid-3.0 two weeks after fixing the
last release-blocking bug. So, please - test it out, and file bugs,
marked to block bug 524, to help us have a smooth release. If no new
blocking bugs are filed in bugzilla in the next two weeks - this will
become squid-3.0Stable1.
