[squid-users] whitespace

Hi,

My log analyser just crashed because of the whitespace in following URL
(whitespace is between firstname and lastname):

1060081490.346 9 10.10.10.1 TCP_MISS/503 1658 GET ftp://<Firstname
Lastname>@aixserv.ftp/user@aixserv.rz.uni-osnabrueck.de - NONE/- text/html

I'm running squid-2.5STABLE1.
In squid.conf uri_whitespace is default - strip.

Shouldn't squid strip that whitespace?
