If icp is being used this could, perhaps be avoided, by increasing
the
icp timeout value somewhat.

I meant, 'Quality of Service' offered.
Perhaps more practically : for the corrupted zip, ask the isp cache
log entry for the particular transfer. Check that everything is ok
in terms of number of bytes expected and nr. bytes transferred by the
parent.
OR
Ask isp admin person,to try the zip from the parent you are using at
their
site,let the isp admin check, whether they get corrupted zips too from
that
particular isp located webcach.
