Is there any specific reason to why you must run this old Squid release
with many known bugs instead of a more current version?
Please upgrade to 2.5.STABLE2 or later. Even more so if you are having
problems with an older release. If you for some reason MUST use
Squid-2.4 at least make sure to use the last release of Squid-2.4 with
all published patches applied plus any patches from the later Squid
releases which indicate the problem they fix applies to earlier Squid
versions.
I personally have no interest in looking into problems with Squid
releases no longer maintained. If you have a problem with Squid-2.4 then
upgrade if you want my help on squid-users. Period.

Henrik
