I've been reading the squid documentation about IPC between cache peers. It
seems that connections can be either direct or multicast. What about
broadcast?
I ask because on my network, all caches can communicate over a common
ethernet segment. Thus, it would be trivial to just point each cache
to use the broadcast address for that segment to make requests of all
other servers.
Is this a possible configuration? I'm using Squid v2.4.6 from the Debian
Linux distribution.
Thanks!
