Hello,
I'm using Solaris 2.8 on a sparc box, squid-2.5.STABLE2.
The following error pops up only on specific pages, for example I can bring
up the www.google.ca page, but when attempting to use the search engine, I
end up with the error below.
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.google.ca/search?
The following error was encountered:
Connection Failed
The system returned:
(145) Connection timed out
The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.
Here are some of the squid.conf lines that I've added/changed:
cache_effective_user squid
cache_effective_group squid
visible_hostname 192.168.22.22
cache_peer webproxy.mydomain.ca parent 8080 8080 proxy-only no-query
login=
PASS no-netdb-exchange no-digest
acl allowed_hosts src 192.168.7.0/255.255.255.0
acl employee_site src 192.160.2.51/255.255.255.255
192.160.136.23/255.255.255.255
acl SSL_ports port 443 475 563 1443
acl Safe_ports port 475
http_access deny manager all
http_access allow allowed_hosts
http_access allow localhost
icp_access allow allowed_hosts localhost
icp_access deny all
always_direct allow employee_site
miss_access allow all
never_direct deny all
I'm getting no out of the ordinary messages in cache.log or access.log, so
I'm kind of at a stand still.
My guess is that it's got something to do with my parent proxy config, but
I've got no clues as to which part....
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Paul
