Thanks for the quick response Henrik.
I am using IE6 with no service packs. If the browser was buggy(I am not
saying that IE is not buggy, I know it sucks... :-)), shouldn't I have had
this problem with 2.4STABLE6? I looked at my squid.conf files from 2.4 and
2.5 and the persistent connections are set up the same. Any other ideas?

This very much sounds like a browser bug. When you request a SSL site
Squid should NEVER EVER see the requested URL (only hostname).
What browser are you using? If IE6 SP2 then see the Squid FAQ...
You can also try disabling persistent connections.
client_persistent_connections off
This may work around some buggy browsers..
