[squid-users] What about DISKD?

Hallo.
I am reading faqs about DISKD.
I use linux debian woody with kernel 2.4.20.
I run squid 2.4 stable 6 in a IBM xSeries 342 with two PIII 1100Mhz cpu and 3
scsi disk in raid 5 hardware.
I have about 600 clients to connect to internet with squid.
Really DISKD improve Disk I/O performance?
