Hi,
make sure that the squid is running on port 8080 .. as by default it is port 3128 .. unlike microsoft proxy.

run a "netstat -na|grep LIST" to see whats listening ...

Hello, I use squid-2.4.S6 on Mandrake8.0. I have these problems :
1. It works very slowly
2. The service 8080 doesnt works, but the squid's still running
3. It's unable to search using search engine such yahoo or google
