Does the AIM client work if you remove the "auth_param ntlm" directives
from squid.conf and only specify "auth_param basic ..."?
Maybe the AIM client gets confused when there is NTLM authentication in
the picture. If it does get confused by this, complain to the AIM
support.. (should perhaps also note that it then probably does not work
via MS Proxy / IAS in HTTP proxy mode either...)
