Hi all,
Recently I've been having problems with a transparent caching
box running squid2.3STABLE4; it works perfectly when in
front of the firewall (Cisco Pix); but as soon as we move it
behind the firewall about every 2 of 5 requests (increasing to
4/5)
are 504 Timeouts. The Pix logs dont seem to show any blocking
or spoofing issues (I read some of the previous mails... I dont
think that applies here as the cache is behind the Pix). However,
if we turn off the transparent caching, and set a browser to use
the cache, it works perfectly; no 504's.
So this leads me to again think its a problem with transparent
caching and the Pix... any ideas?
Thanks
Dave
