Re: [squid-users] Internet explorer immediately respons with page cannot be displayed

This is a MSIE 6 bug where it does not work with Basic HTTP proxy
authentication. Please talk to your MS Support representative to receive
a patch (should be available at no charge even if you do not have
unlimited support).

Another option is to switch to NTLM authentication and NOT apply the
MSIE patch (the patch available the last time I looked into the subject
broke NTLM authentication instead...)
