If you download the snapshot tarball (squid-2.5.STABLE1-20030102) then
there is no need to apply the patches is already included.
The snapshot patch file is relative to the official 2.5.STABLE1 tar
ball, and is an alternative method of downloading all the patches. You
need either
2.5.STABLE1 tarball + 2.5.STABLE1-XXXXXXX.snapshot
or
2.5.STABLE1-XXXXXXX snapshot tarball
