RE: [squid-users] LDAP & Novell

Thanks a lot Matt!

I have been trying to reach the Novell guy for 4 hrs on how to do this.

I have made the change to NDS and now both of Henriks recommended connection
methods via squid_ldap_auth are now working for me via clear-text.

Now I am off to configure a netware client and have the browser redirect
through squid and have the credentials validated against the NDS and step a)
will be complete.

Next stop - SSL

FYI, to enable clear text in Novell LDAP..click on the LDAP object in
NDS...click 'enable clear text', and hit OK...so it should be somewhat
easy, don't let them tell you otherwise :)

SSL....now that may prove to be slightly harder...

Thanks for the clarification Henrik.

Next steps for me:

a) Configuring NDS with clear-text first if possible just to prove that
this
will all work.
b) Getting the 2.6 helpers and compiling squid_ldap_auth there for use
with
Squid2.5-STABLE2
c) Getting a Novell guy to come in and assist in setting up the SSL
certs
etc on the Novell side.
