Hi Folks!
-##
RedHat 7.1
Squid 2.4 Stable6 6.7.3
MRTG 2.9.17
net-snmp 5.0.1
-##
I want to monitor Squid with MRTG.
Using this MRTG.cfg:
-##
LoadMIBs: /usr/local/squd/etc/mib.txt
Language: german
WorkDir: /blub/bla
IconDir: /blubbla/mrtg-icons
Target[proxy-hit]: cacheHttpHits&cacheClientHttpRequests:public@proxy
Title[proxy-hit]: HTTP Hits
PageTop[proxy-hit]: <H2>proxy Cache Statistics: HTTP Hits / Requests</H2>
Suppress[proxy-hit]: y
LegendI[proxy-hit]: HTTP hits
LegendO[proxy-hit]: HTTP requests
Legend1[proxy-hit]: HTTP hits
Legend2[proxy-hit]: HTTP requests
YLegend[proxy-hit]: perminute
ShortLegend[proxy-hit]: req/min
MaxBytes[proxy-hit]: 3000
Options[proxy-hit]: nopercent, perminute, dorelpercent
-##
With "./mrtg MRTG.cfg" it Returns this:
-##
Unknown SNMP var cacheHttpHits
at ../bin/mrtg line 1491
Unknown SNMP var cacheClientHttpRequests
at ../bin/mrtg line 1491
WARNING: Expected a number but got ''
WARNING: Expected a number but got ''
Unknown SNMP var cacheServerInKb
at ../bin/mrtg line 1491
Unknown SNMP var cacheServerOutKb
at ../bin/mrtg line 1491
WARNING: Expected a number but got ''
WARNING: Expected a number but got ''
-##
Testing with "snmpwalk proxy:3401 -c public .1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.1"
returns this:
-##
iso.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.1.1.0 = INTEGER: 84
iso.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.1.2.0 = INTEGER: 400
iso.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.1.3.0 = Timeticks: (63000) 0:10:30.00
-##
so the squid-snmp is working fine, i think.
I've read this dokumentation:
http://www.terena.nl/d2-workshop/d2cache2000/lecture.html
http://www.terena.nl/tech/d2-workshop/d2cache99/mrtg/d2ws99mrtglab.html
http://www.squid-cache.org/SNMP/
http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/FAQ/FAQ-18.html
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/squid.html
What is wrong? Any missconfiguration or compatability-problem?
Thanks in advance,
