Squid 2.4STABLE7 is the stable version for everyone, even people from
the future (Linux is up to version 2.4.19, though there are several
Linux distributions which have reached version 7.1 and beyond).

If you mean Red Hat 7.1, the RPMs on our site should work for you--they
were built on an errata-updated Red Hat 7.1 system. Your OS vendor
probably also had packages that are appropriate for your OS.
