I've searched the mail archives but can't quite find anything that references
this particular problem. One of our users is trying to get to
http://info.sos.state.tx.us/pub/plsql/readtac$ext.viewtac
We are running squid 2.4.STABLE7 and, for some reason, squid seems insistent on
not pulling content from this web site. We can get to
http://lamb.sos.state.tx.us/tac/, but when trying to follow the "TAC Viewer"
link, we merely get a blank page back from squid. Going through the same
network path but using iPlanet proxy, we get the proper page. Here are the
traces, first using squid as the proxy, then iPlanet:
-------- squid retrieval ----------------
bash-2.04# ./client -l squidproxy
http://info.sos.state.tx.us/pub/plsql/readtac$ext.viewtac
HTTP/1.0 200 OK
Content-Type: text/html
Date: Fri, 30 Aug 2002 01:56:45 GMT
Allow: GET, HEAD
Server: Oracle_Web_listener3.0.2.0.0/2.14FC1
X-Cache: MISS from squidproxy
X-Cache-Lookup: MISS from squidproxy:3128
Proxy-Connection: close
[note that no content is downloaded]
-------- iPlanet retrieval ----------------
bash-2.04# ./client -h iplanet -p 8080
'http://info.sos.state.tx.us/pub/plsql/readtac$ext.viewtac'|head
HTTP/1.0 200 OK
Content-type: text/html
Date: Fri, 30 Aug 2002 01:59:59 GMT
Allow: GET, HEAD
Server: Oracle_Web_listener3.0.2.0.0/2.14FC1
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE> : Texas Administrative Code</TITLE>
<SCRIPT>
[and the rest of the document would follow if I hadn't piped the command into
"head"]
Does this ring a bell for anyone? Our squid seems to be otherwise properly
configured; we service several hundred requests per minute and this is one of
the few sites with which we've had any trouble. Any pointers to the cause of
this failure to render the page would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
