Hi,
My apologies if this is a FAQ; I've poked around and cannot find it
addressed on either the FAQ or the mailing list...
I'm interested in adding caching to some programs I have that act like
HTTP clients (they use HTTP to access servers that return non-HTML
responses). Anyway, I'd rather not have to develop a HTTP/1.1 compliant
cache myself and was wondering if the Squid code could be used as a
library instead of a standalone daemon?
The programs need to run on several flavors of UNIX (linux, IRIX, et c.)
as well as Win32. In some cases the programs are multi-threaded.
Thanks very much for your time,
James
